1030
Pulled the anchor up this morning to a fresh breeze from the southwest. We departed Great Sale Cay at 0710. We decided not to put the dinghy in the water yesterday, so there was no exploring the island. As it was last night, we need up dragging the anchor. This IPad has an app that checks to see if there is a change in distance from the point where the anchor is first laid down. Although I did not here the alarm go off, when I got up to check, we had moved 264 fee fro the original position. I will have to lay more chain down tomorrow.mi almost always have 100 feet out, but last night, I chose to only put 50-60 feet. Lesson learned.

Great Sale Cay to Spanish Cay

We have just now passed 2,000nm since the start of JonNe's Amazing Adventure! Of course, it cost us about $20 a mile, no not $.20, you probably thought you read that wrong the first time you read it.

We are sailing rather than motoring or motor-sailing. Great winds for us today. Full sails out and well-trimmed.

Ron and Teresa Ivea aboard s/v Last Dance

Arrived in Spanish Cay at about 1630. Set anchor and this time put out 100' of anchor chain! Hoping we will hold this time.

Got the dinghy down off the davits and checked in on everyone. Theresa Ivea's birthday is today, so Renne and I decided to run into the marina store. Today is election day, so almost all businesses are closed. Everyone else is stuck on the boats until they can clear into Customs and Immigration. Because we did at West End, we are the only ones who can go in legally. Nice little store and decently stocked. We bought  a tank top with Spanish Cay on it. Also bought some local banana bread and candles to celebrate with. Stopped by Art and Brenda's to drop off Renne and the gifts, then went over to pick up Tom and Gerri. They were eating dinner, so they decided to wait out. I drove back over. Ron and Vicki picked up birthday girl and "Captain Ron Also".

Our flotilla out on the hook from Spanish Cay by dinghy

We celebrated in the cockpit and had great conversation. We were there two hours. Got to seemArt and Brenda's knew galley-WOW. I haven't been aboard since they were in the middle of remodeling it.

Back to the boat by 2130 (9:30) and Really ready for bed.
